Exhausted

We are back to school! I have started in my new role as principal. Long hours at work followed by longer hours of completing paperwork for our adoption. Randell has been going back and forth trying to get all the pieces from doctors, bank, county appraiser, notary... Tomorrow he is driving to Austin to have most of our paperwork apostilled! One word...Exhausted!

Our home study is almost complete and we are plugging along with the dossier paperwork. For the past few nights we have been working on paperwork, and in the mist of it is so easy to become frustrated and forget why we are doing this. We have to redo one of our medical statements. The doctor wrote too dark on one of the dates and it looks like it was written over. One word...Frustrating!

Our daughter has been looking at books to read to Grady when he gets home. She can't wait! She will be such a good big sister. Tonight, I pulled up Grady's picture and just looked at him and prayed. I can't wait to have him home. One word...Blessed!

Is it possible to feel this frustrated, exhausted, and blessed all at once?!!!

Matthew 11:28:
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

  1. Praying for you: That you will raise/be given the money you need, that paperwork will get done quickly, and that Grady will be home SOON!

  2. I'm so thrilled to read a little about Grady's family! I saw him on the Reece's Rainbow site a couple of months ago, and my kids and I have been praying fervently for a Christian family to adopt him. I have prayed for a family that will bring him up to know and love God, and raise him to be a man after God's own heart. How exciting to see that prayer being answered! We will be following your journey to bring your son home.
