I'm soo excited to see Grady finally has a family!!!! I'm 22 with Arthrogryposis in all limbs.

So exited that little Grady is coming to TEXAS!
Our sweet daughter Erika has arthorgryposis. It has effect all of her body, but she is AMAZING. She is from Ukraine. We brought her home just over 4 years ago, and we live close by! :)

I am beyond thrilled...I've been praying for Grady to have a family for a bit over a year now. I checked his page on Reece's Rainbow at least once a week...today, I was having a not so great day...and decided to check on him. Lo and behold he wasn't on the "Other Angel's" list...My heart knew instantly a family had chosen him. I'm so happy for you and for him. I will continue to pray...for peace, a quick process and smooth transition in growing your family through adoption!

YAY!! I have prayed for this little boy for so long. I even brought him before a group I'm in to pray for him. He is precious and deserves a family. Congrats. Can't wait to follow his journey.

I am soooo glad that Grady has a family. He holds a special place in my heart. I have prayed for him since he was posted on RR. Congradulations. I can't wait to follow in this journey with you and see Grady with his family. Praying him home.

"Grady"

Boy, Born May 14, 2007

SO happy to finally have new photos of Grady! He is just as adorable as I always thought. Blonde hair and bright blue eyes! What a snuggable and happy little boy! Grady was born with arthrogryposis of his lower limbs. His hands and arms are unaffected. He is not able to walk at this time. He is 3 now, and will so greatly benefit from surgery, therapy, and loving family to encourage him! Without this, he will remain bedridden for the rest of his life.

Grady is completely typically developing cognitively. He is described as very social and smart, talkative, playful, and active. He has no cognitive delays or speech problems whatsoever.

We are so thankful to all of those who have donated towards our adoption. We are fully funded and have reached our $25,000 goal towards bringing Grady home.

Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC)

"Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) is a congenital condition that occurs 1 in every 3,000 live births. It's characterized by multiple joint contractures. Joint contractures are when the joints don't have normal range of motion, they are stiff. Affected individuals usually also have muscle weakness. Every joint in the body can be affected including the jaw & back. The range of severity is very wide, some people don't look affected while others have to rely on a powerchair for mobility. Most individuals with AMC have normal intelligence. It is a non-progressive condition. There are about 400 types of AMC. Some types are sporadic in nature while others are genetic. Amyoplasia is the most common type affecting approx. 43% of all people with the diagnosis. This is a life-long condition but with quality treatment most individuals become independent adults. Treatment often includes serial casting & splinting to increase range of motion, physical & occupational therapy to strengthen muscles & surgery to correct more rigid deformities."
